You might be surprised to learn what you can achieve in five-minute intervals. Here’s how you can make the most of five minutes:
1. Tidy for Five Minutes
When your home is messy, your mind might feel overwhelmed. Research has shown that women are especially vulnerable to deleterious effects of messy environments. One way to quickly tidy your home in achievable chunks is to start small. Set a timer for five minutes and choose one area to tidy in that time. Maybe that means emptying the sink in five minutes, or putting books and papers away in five minutes, or clearing off your bed and making it in five minutes. If you don’t finish your task in five minutes, then set the timer for another five minutes. In no time at all you’ll see the transformative quality of five-minute batches.
