If You Want to Have Money in the Bank, Stop Buying These Five Things

Here are reasonable things to stop buying (or to at least delay buying).

Instead of offering you a guilting, clickbait listicle, I want to start off by saying this article isn’t intended to shame anyone. When we make a purchase, we’re making a value exchange. We’re saying: I have this money, and I want that thing in exchange for this because this item represents some kind of need I want to fulfill. It may be utility, an aesthetic, entertainment, or some other kind of result you’re looking to gain. At the end of the day, we’re all in charge of our own ships. You can decorate and drive that ship however you like, but if you want to operate that ship with a little more green in your treasure chest, consider cutting out — or at least examining — the items on this list and seeing if maybe you could save yourself a buck or two.

If you want more money in your bank account, consider making these purchases walk the plank:
